Source: Toxics Link, Date: , 2014

Toxics Link conducted awareness program on “Lead in Paints” for students in 10 schools of Delhi, in the month of September 2014. The aim of this program was to make students aware on issues of lead poisoning and presence of lead in enamel paints sold in the Indian market. The program included a presentation on health hazards of lead, the sources of lead exposure in daily life and the urgency of taking remedial measures in home and schools. This was followed by an interactive session. The students and teachers actively participated in the interactive session and signed petition for “Mandatory standards for LEAD in Paint”.
