UPDATE

Toxics Link conducted an awareness workshop for dental professionals in a dental college, named Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College on 27^th of March, 2015. The workshop was successfully conducted and the importance of the issue was acknowledged by the practitioners present in the workshop. Most of the dentists were opting for the amalgam filling owing to the longevity of the filling material and ease of doing the same. On the other hand, some of them acknowledged the need for curriculum changes in the BDS syllabus.

Most of the dentists present in the workshop were ready to put up posters in their private clinicto increase public awareness and resultant demand for the alternative restorative material.
