The city of Portsmouth has taped off an area around a Union Street house warning people about lead paint chips lying on the ground.

City Health Officer Kim McNamara said she decided to tape off the area using yellow tape and signs stating, "Lead Paint: Do Not Enter," after she gave the house's owner a chance to clean up the area and she didn't.
