Delhi has a new plan to make Yamuna sewage-free, in just 3 years

Not a drop of sewage will flow into Yamuna three years from now, if a new plan prepared by different departments of the Delhi Government is to be believed. In an elaborate exercise titled 'Action Plan for Implementation of Directions of NGT for Unsewered Areas,' DDA, DJB and an independent scientist among others have proposed that "sewage from unsewered areas of Delhi is intercepted and taken to trunk sewers even when the primary sewers are not in place". This can be achieved "in the next three years subject to timely availability of land from land-owning agencies and requisite resources".
