Pollution control board notice to industries on ETP

Source: The Times of India, Kochi, April, 2017 :- The Kerala state pollution control board (PCB) has issued directives to all industrial units which require `consent to operate' to make their primary effluent treatment plants fully operational from May 22 this year. This follows the directives of the Supreme Court which said that the boards have to carry out inspections to verify whether each industrial unit requiring 'consent' has a functional Primary Effluent Treatment Plant (PETP) or not.
