Training of Trainers in two government hospitals of Bihar

Parallel Training of Trainers (ToTs) programs were organized in two government hospitals on 10th & 13the February at Danapur & Arrah, in Bihar. The training program aimed at enhancing awareness & capacity building of healthcare staff on improving compliance level of bio-medical waste management & and increasing the use of mercury free equipments, in the healthcare facilities of Bihar. In total around 160 health care workers were trained during these sessions which included nurses, lab technicians, sweepers & few doctors. Social Institute for Development of Nation (SIDON) was engaged as regional partner to conduct the seminar and training programs. Their rigorous facilitation with both the hospitals made it possible to conduct these programs smoothly in the selected places.
