UPDATE

A round table meeting was conducted on “Greening the Healthcare Sector” at IIC Delhi on 4th September, 2015 by Toxics link and Technical partners- Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations, CAHO and STENUM Asia. During the meeting the participants discussed four significant issues: energy usage in the healthcare sector, energy conservation, bio-medical waste management, and water conservation. The meeting was led by panelists Dr. Vijay Agarwal, Secretary General of CAHO, Ravi Agarwal, Director, Toxics link, Dr. Sanjiv Singh, Amrita University, and Rajat Batra, CEO, STENUM Asia. They presented their viewpoints and highlighted the ways through which efficient energy and waste management can be achieved by the healthcare sector.
