Seminar on Bio-Medical & Mercury waste management

Toxics Link conducted a seminar on Bio-medical & Mercury waste management in Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 29th April 2015 in collaboration with Uttarakhand Health & Family Welfare Department. Navjyoti Development Society a local NGO from Dehradun was regional partner in this seminar. The seminar focused on:-  

  •  Analyzing the strength and drawbacks of existing system of BMW & mercury management in state of Uttarakhand.
  •  Pushing the authorities for coming up with more number of Common Bio-medical Waste Treatment Facilities (CBWTFs) in the  State
  •  Best practices for bio-medical waste & mercury management in healthcare facilities.

One of the successful achievements of this seminar is that the State’s health department is organizing one more seminar on 19th May, 2015 in which Toxics Link is invited as a technical partner of the department.
