Medical waste from a hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, is being illegally sold off to rubbish collectors and ending up in a range of plastic products.

The Social Security Hospital has blamed junior staff for not ensuring waste is disposed of securely.

Syringes, vials and other plastic materials are being recycled into toys, kitchen items and drinking straws, as BBC Urdu's Shumaila Jaffery reports.
