A public interest litigation petition has been filed in the Hyderabad High Court seeking directions to the authorities concerned to take action against the chemical industries and godowns which are functioning illegally at Dhoolapally village in Quthbullapur mandal of Rangareddy district. Petitioners G Satish and two others, residents of Dhoolapally village, complained that the authorities have failed to take action against the polluting units and as many as 109 units have not responded to the show cause notices issued by the gram panchayat and mandal parishad development officer.
