Some govt depts, NGOs yet to segregate own waste

Source: The Times of India, Date: , 2016

Even as the state government launched Swachh Bharat mission in Goa, most of the government departments are guilty of not complying with its guidelines and have treated the mission in a lax manner in their respective offices. When the solid waste management cell of the department of science and Goa state pollution control board (GSPCB) visited six government offices and NGOs in Panaji, they found that not a single office has separate bins for wet and dry waste collection. The joint inspection team visited the offices of directorate of industries, trade and commerce, departments of information and publicity, public grievances, electricity, directorate of municipal administration and the collectorate, North Goa.
