GPS installed on garbage collection vehicles

The Municipal Corporation (MC) has installed the global positioning system (GPS) on the garbage lifting vehicles to keep a check on the lifting of garbage in the city and the working of the employees “Garbage lifting involves a lot of money. Monitoring the vehicles used for lifting the garbage is a very difficult work and requires monitoring. That’s why we have made use of the GPS,” said Sumedha Kataria, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation.“We are receiving complaints regarding non-lifting of garbage from various parts of the city, so it became necessary for us to keep a track on its functioning,” she said.
