A walk along the Ridge to protect Capital's green lungs

AAP member and former Delhi minister Somnath Bharti has urged environmentalist Pradip Krishen to draw up a plan for the restoration of the Central Ridge, which he said he would forward to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.  Bharti along with environment and forest minister Asim Ahmed Khan, activists and forest department officials on Sunday participated in a nature walk led by the environmentalist.
 "The ridge is rich in natural bounty. We got an idea on the sorts of plants which flourish in the city and should be planted. The green cover these spots provide can help reduce air pollution," Bharti said, adding that the ridge can be restored under the guidance of Pradip Krishen and his team.
