Let treated sewage into Najafgarh drain: NGT to Gurgaon

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has ordered the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) to complete the construction of a proposed sewage treatment plant in Gurgaon by March 2017, two years earlier than planned. According to the plan, the project is being designed to let only treated sewage into the Najafgarh drain in Delhi. The NGT has also directed HUDA to acquire land under “emergency clauses of the land acquisition law” in Sector 107, Gurgaon where the 100-mld treatment plant is proposed to come up.
