To keep up with the
Prime Minister’s Clean India campaign, the three corporations in the national
capital are planning to bring back small dustbins on the city’s arterial roads,
busy markets and residential colonies. The erstwhile Municipal Corporation of
Delhi had discontinued the bins across the city after the 2008 serial bomb
blasts. The bins had not been placed for seven years due to the police’s
objections as a bomb had been planted in one of them at the time.
