PCB proposes new plans to check water contamination

In an attempt to check the faecal contamination of water bodies in the state, the state pollution control board (PCB) is planning to work with local bodies and set up storm water drains or treat the main canals before it flows into the major rivers. The board is working with the local bodies to identify which is the water body where all the water is flowing into and it can be treated.
