PoP idols, chemical hues banned in Indore

To preserve water and environment from getting polluted due to immersion of idols during festive season, district administration has decided to put blanket ban on idols of plaster of Paris (POP) and chemical colours. Even the transportation of such idols from other cities will be banned. However, to help encourage local sculptures for making eco-friendly idols, administration will provide them soil, impart training and logistic support.
