Toxic vegetables removed from nullah, but water pumps still exist

The extensive drive by the state government to remove toxic vegetables from the Amanishah Nullah was a futile attempt at preventing toxicity. For, even after the vegetables were removed, the source that fed the trend still exists. Even now, all along the 47 km stretch of the nullah you can spot hundreds of water pumps installed with kilometers long underground pipeline feeding the nearby fields with greasy, black stinking water. Acting on the high court directions, joint teams from Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), Jaipur Muncipal Corporation (JMC) and Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) carried out several drives to remove poisonous vegetables from the catchment area of the nullah.
