Not A Drop Of The Ganga Has Been Cleaned, Where The Money Is Going: NGT

The Logical Indian, New Delhi, Feb 2017: The National Green Tribunal criticised the Government agencies for wasting public money in the name of cleaning the Ganges. The Tribunal told the Center, “Not a single drop of river Ganga has been cleaned so far,” as reported by The Hindu.The bench headed by Justice Swatanter Kumar, NGT Chairperson, asked the government authorities to work together for the cause saying that the Prime Minister has given them a goal, so they should take it as a national project. The tribunal asked the government agencies to work in collaboration, and further added that they do not need any “drama” regarding complaints between Centre and the state of Uttar Pradesh.
