New Delhi, Dec 27, 2016 : Six children have moved the National Green Tribunal against air pollution caused by industries in west Delhi. NGT has sought responses from the Centre and the Delhi government on the issue.A bench headed by NGT chairperson Justice Swatanter Kumar issued notices to the Union environment ministry, ministry of urban development, the Delhi government, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and Central Pollution Control Board.The tribunal was hearing a plea filed by Umesh Kumar (16), Aditi Bhardwaj (12), Abdul Razzaq (12), Harsh Dahiya (15), Prince Lakra (15) and Vivekanand (14) through their guardians seeking directions to prepare a time-bound action plan to curb pollution in west Delhi's Mundka and Kirari areas, including changing its land use to a green area.
