 Untreated effluents: Pollution board seeks report from MC

Getting no reply from the municipal corporation (MC) regarding 12 outlets through which untreated effluent is being allegedly released in Buddah Nullah, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has written another letter to the civic body for giving a report regarding the same at the earliest. Following a complaint by a resident, Rohit Sabharwal, in July against 12 identified outlets, the CPCB had asked the MC chief to look into the matter and file a report. The MC, however, allegedly failed to file the same and on September 26, the pollution board had shot off another letter to the municipal commissioner asking him to file a report at the earliest.
